Costruito nel 1956 il circuito di Phillip Island è situato nella regione di Victoria in Australia e dal 1997 è lo scenario di splendide gare di motociclismo.
Il circuito è splendido, una serpentina di curve veloci e di raggio molto ampio spezzate solamente da due tornanti che rappresentano i punti perfetti per effettuare sorpassi.
Lungo 4.448 mt e largo 13 mt, presenta 5 curve a destra e 7 a sinistra ed il suo rettilineo principale è di 900 mt in discesa, caratteristica che permette di raggiungere velocità molto elevate.
